EMIAC brand

Blue for the work.
Warm for the people.

The EMIAC mark, its colours, type and voice, and how to use them. One mark in two moods: still for small places, alive for the big moments.

Two moods

Still, and alive.

Deep blue for the work we do, warming to orange for the people we do it with. The still mark goes wherever it is small or seen often. The living mark drifts slowly through the same colours, with a soft glow behind it.

Backgrounds

At home on light and on dark.

The gradient mark reads on both. The lockup comes in two versions: dark letters for light backgrounds, white letters for dark ones. Where only one colour is possible, such as print, embroidery or a stamp, use the one-colour mark.

In the browser

Clear at sixteen pixels.

A lighter cut of the still mark sits in the tab, bright enough on dark and light browsers alike, and on a phone's home screen.

Do and don't

Use it as supplied.

Every change below makes the mark look like somebody else's. Each example is the real file, altered on purpose.

DoUse the file as supplied, with its clear space.
Don'tStretch or squash it. Scale by the corner, never by one side.
Don'tRecolour it, even to match your design.
Don'tRotate or tilt it.
Don'tAdd your own shadows, glows or outlines. The living mark's glow comes with the file.
Don'tUse the living mark small. Below 32 px, use the still one.

Colour

Five stops for the mark.
EMIAC blue for the rest.

The mark runs from deep blue to orange. Everywhere else, blue stays rare: links, focus and the one main action on a page. Ink and greys carry the rest. Ratios are measured against white.

Products and naming

A house of brands.

EMIAC is the company. Each product has its own name and mark and stands on its own. EMIAC is named beside it, in the sentence or the footer, never fused into the product's logo.

Questions

Can I use the EMIAC logo in an article or a presentation?

Yes, to refer to EMIAC or its products, using the files above as supplied and under the usage terms.

Which file should I use?

The lockup where EMIAC is introduced: the light one on light backgrounds, the dark one on dark. The still mark where space is small or EMIAC is already named. The living mark only on screens, at 32 px or more. SVG for anything that scales, PNG where SVG is not accepted.

Can I change the colour to match my design?

No. The mark keeps its gradient, or the one-colour blue or white where only one colour is possible. If none works on your design, change what sits behind the logo, not the logo.

Is there a lockup for dark backgrounds?

Yes. The dark lockup has white letters and the same gradient mark. It is in the downloads above.

Can I use a product logo, such as Clario's?

Product logos follow the same terms: to refer to the product, unchanged. For the files, write to us.

Who do I ask about press or a partnership?

Write to inc@emiac.us with Brand in the subject, before you publish.

Not covered here? Write to us.

For press, partnerships and anything else about the brand, before you publish.
